AFTER PHOTOS

The remodel for this charming home on Maywood Ave in Ann Arbor required a make over for the kitchen and powder room to go from cute to cool.

In this project, we will be gutting the existing kitchen,
and replacing it with a new, modern-style.

We will be removing this wall between the kitchen and
the dining room, opening up the two spaces.

This powder room will also be completely re-done.

This plan shows the new kitchen and bathroom layout.

We have demoed the kitchen back to studs.

Turning around, we also removed the wall
separating the dining room and kitchen.

The small powder room has also been stripped back to studs.

a photo before returning to work installing cabinets

The base cabinets will be be white. The blue you are seeing is a
protective film, designed to prevent scratches during installation.

The tile floor is going in. The red spaces keep the tile apart
as they are set, leaving room for grout to be added.

After the tile was finished, the cork
floor in the kitchen was installed.

This round orb is actually a ventilation hood for over the cooktop.
It came in a standard white, but we had it custom painted this
bright orange to better fit into the color palette of the finished kitchen.

The cabinets are all installed.

Another angle. Here the opening will be filled by the dishwasher.

Finally, looking toward the dining room, now open to the kitchen.

New toilet with it’s tank is hidden inside the wall.

After the countertops were done, the
tile backsplash was installed quickly after.

In both the kitchen and powder room, we installed
these decorative panels above the existing glass block.
