We are happy to be back at the King Elementary neighborhood for yet another project. Follow our progress to see the awesome changes we’ve got planned.

September 14, 2015

Southwest view of the existing home.  The deck will be removed and a new 14’x32’ addition will take its place.  The addition will contain a great room (w/vaulted ceiling), office area, and full basement.

This window and two doors will be transformed into large passageways into the new addition.

Existing Kitchen: The exterior wall shown will be removed and transformed into the passageway into the new great room addition.  A new counter with bar top seating will created on the great room side of the wall.  New clear maple flooring will be installed throughout the entire first floor.

Existing Basement:  A large portion of the exterior basement wall and bench shown to the right will be removed in order to access the new basement addition.  Finishes within the new basement will match the existing.

Excavation begins for the new basement. 

The excavated area is taken down to a depth of 9 feet.

September 27, 2015

Concrete footings have been poured and the block foundation wall begins.

The foundation wall is complete and the application of a waterproofing membrane begins.

The installation of waterproofing, insulation, and a perimeter drain tile is complete.

Fiberglass insulation installed within the ceilings.

And blown-in insulation within the wall cavities. 

Removal of the existing wood and tile flooring begins. 
The entire first floor of the home will be finished with new maple flooring.

A new skylight has been completed and brings much needed natural light into the kitchen. 

The new electrical wiring can be seen at the new kitchen pass-through area. Up next…drywall!

A dry winter has allowed the exterior grading to be completed pre-Spring :-) 

The new addition blends perfectly into the homes existing materials and colors. 

A southeast (rear view) of the home.  In order to match the second floor balcony, the new porch and stair has been constructed of recycled decking materials.

With the drywall is underway the kitchen pass-thru window and floating ceiling design are taking form.
